What happens in case of an accident?

First of all, don’t panic.

All our campervans are fully insured and have 24/7 roadside assistance. At the pick-up we will provide you with all phone numbers and documents you need to have with you. In case of an accident you can never be charged more than the deposit you paid at your arrival (except if the contract was brached).

If you are experiencing any other issues with the camper during the travel or have doubts about functionalities, you are more than welcome to contact the phone number available in your contract or reach us through email, Whatsapp, Viber or Skype as well.

What kind of luggage shoud I bring?

We strongly recommend you use soft bags or backpacks instead of suitcases for your luggage. Soft bags take up less room and fit more easily into the storage cupboards and lockers in campervans.

Can I take a ferry with my campervan?

Of course you can!

Island-hopping is an easy and affordable way to explore some of the 400 islands scattered along Croatia's coastline and ferries are running daily between most islands.

You can also hop on an overnight ferry (from Trieste or Venice) to mainland Greece and its beautiful islands.

Can I book some activities through you?

Yes, we can hook you up with amazing activities and tours!

We also have special deals with some great agencies and tour providers. Check the list of our partners (on Extras page, scroll to the bottom), with whom you’re guaranteed to have a great time and a better deal!

And you can always give us a call or send us an email while you're on the road for more tips!

Can I travel with Nest campervans during winter?

Cuckoo campervans do not have any additional heaters and it does get pretty cold during winter time. We don’t recommend traveling with Cuckoo campervans in winter time, except if you really love cold!

Stork campervans come with heaters. As long as you’re plugged to an outside source of 220V electricity (campgrounds, camper stops. etc.), you’ll be able to use the heater and enjoy a warm campervan.

When is the best time to travel?

Most travellers see summer as the best time to visit this region, when the weather is at its most reliable, the full range of sights are open and the country’s numerous festivals are in full swing. However, many of Slovenia’s attractions, including the capital, are just as enjoyable outside the peak summer months, and in particular during spring and autumn, when the countryside colours are at their most resplendent, prices are slightly lower and the crowds are a little thinner.

So, all in all: anytime between start of April and end of October is a good time!

Best time to travel in Slovenia.

Where can I camp?

There are many campsites around Europe and it’s easy to get around them. There are 156 campgrounds in Slovenia alone (332 in Croatia, 865 in Italy, ...) - so the only problem you’ll face is deciding which one to choose!

Camping grounds are usually located at the outskirts of cities as well as in the green undulating countryside, at the rivers, mountains, lakes and the seaside, where they are particularly suitable for watersports and fishing enthusiasts. In the immediate vicinity of camping grounds, you can also find hiking and cycling trails.

Read this helpful and apprehensive blog post about camping in Slovenia or camping in Croatia! We will give you good tips on camping in this region and provide you some maps and brochures, but a good overview of camping spots (with updated prices) can be found here as well.
